GENERAL MANAGER in ETHIOPIA
With our current General Manager set to depart from the company this year, we are actively seeking an experienced
professional to guide our operations in Ethiopia. This role involves the daily management of the company’s operations and
logistical activities countrywide, as well as serving as a liaison between the board of directors and local operations. The
General Manager will report directly to the director in charge of Ethiopia.
In this position, the General Manager will oversee a team comprising three farm managers, two project managers, and a
finance/office manager. While our skilled farm management team concentrates on the specific farming operations, your
role will focus on coordinating and aligning the broader operational spectrum with our organizational goals.
• Provide daily support to the administrative team based in Addis Ababa
• Ensure effective communication and support for the farms and managers at all Ethiopian locations
• Handle public relations and foster collaborative interactions with various government authorities, embassies,
floricultural interest organizations, and maintain constructive dialogue with unions and the employee
• Oversee and manage the company’s legal responsibilities, ensuring compliance with local and international laws,
regulations, and certifications
• Manage farm supply/stock and oversee the control of incoming containers
• Provide financial analysis of company activities and budgets
• Manage relationships with airlines and freight forwarding
• Ensure all export activities run smoothly
As General Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing all non-horticultural aspects of the company’s operations in Ethiopia.
You will play a key role in the company’s senior management team and the strategic direction of the organization. This
encompasses the management of administrative, logistical, financial, legal, and strategic activities beyond the direct realm
of farm management.

Based in Addis Ababa, with regular national travel and occasional international travel.
• Background in Business Administration/ Management
• Strong grasp of financial management, budgeting, and strategic decision-making
• Outstanding management and organizational skills
• Experience in developing countries
• Excellent communication abilities
• High energy and motivation
